Dr. Rebecca Padro was born in Michigan in the same year that her father graduated from veterinary school.  She grew up in Plymouth Meeting with a myriad of pets including dogs, cats, gerbils, horses, fish, lizards, and a snake.  As a teenager, her first job was working at Montgomery Animal Hospital in the boarding kennel.  After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biopsychology from Boston College, Dr. Padro lived in Portland, Oregon before returning to the East Coast to attend the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Padro has been practicing since 2004 and has worked in Pennsylvania, Manhattan, and New Jersey.  She rejoined Montgomery Animal Hospital in February 2016.  Dr. Padro loves to travel and has been all over the United States as well as destinations in Europe, Africa, South America and Southeast Asia.  She lives in Ambler with her husband and two children, Wesley and Josephine.  They hope to add a new dog to their family in the next year.
